Yasmeena (Yasi) Khan

I am currently researching accelerationism in Silicon Valley and its impact on the race for AGI, as part of a broader project investigating the origins of techno-ideologies and their relationship to modern political movements. I hold an MSc with Distinction from the University of Oxford in Social Science of the Internet, and a Bachelor's with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University in Symbolic Systems (Human-Centered AI), with a minor in Poetry.

I've worked as a business analyst at McKinsey & Company, focusing on responsible artificial intelligence and helping establish the AI Trust practice, and in Product & Analytics at Interaction, a seed-stage consumer AI startup. I have also been a sabermetrics baseball journalist with Vox Media for the San Francisco Giants.
